Does rain really clean your gutters

Does rain really clean your gutters?

Now that winter is almost here, people are starting to prepare their homes and gardens for the season. The rain can act as a natural cleaner for gutters and some people like to clean their own gutters. But, if the job is too big, calling in a gutter cleaning professional is still the best option.

Take this customer’s experience.

Ben, one of our gutter cleaning technicians, went to a customer’s residence in Yarraville to help.
A house’s roof gutter’s primary purpose is to redirect water from the roof to the downpipes. It is of peak importance that they are regularly inspected for holes, cracks, and blockages. The customer wanted to make sure her gutters would stand up to the winter conditions.

Ben inspected the gutters and reported they looked to be in perfect condition. However, upon inspecting the downpipes, he could see handfuls of dirt were blocking them. These blocks can be dangerous during rainfalls. Ben unclogged the pipes to make sure any water flow would be continuous and the customer wouldn’t have to worry about the downpipes during the rainy winter days.
After the job, the customer thanked Ben for an excellent job.
