Is Moss Bad For Gutters?

One of the biggest enemies of your gutters is moss. It may seem like a very small problem, but when moss accumulates, it can cause serious problems for your gutters. When gutters get clogged, stagnant water may lead to roof and gutter deterioration. Extra moisture can weaken the foundations of the walls too.

John, one of Mr Gutter Cleaning’s local heroes, swung by a customer’s home to provide gutter cleaning in Seaford. The customer advised after it had rained two nights ago his gutters were clogged. John inspected the roof and saw a lot of moss in the gutters. The customer said he hadn’t called anyone to check his gutters since the day they moved in 3 years ago.

John immediately took out his equipment and started removing dead plants, dirt and moss from the gutters. It wasn’t an easy job but John did it perfectly. The customer was very happy with the outcome. Yet another happy customer added to our long list of success stories. Mossy affairs are a bad thing for any home but with the correct measures taken against it to solve or prevent it, it can be a faint memory of the past!
