Moss “Gross-ing” In Your Gutters?
When we see moss in some parts of our garden, we can think, “Oh, wow, the land must be healthy” or “The moss looks really nice and verdant!” It’s nice when we see our garden flourishing, isn’t it?
But what if moss grows up in your gutters? Well, that’s a different story. Moss thrives in damp, muddy places. Gutters as we know are always exposed to different weather conditions. If several types of dirt and debris build up they can make a perfect spot for moss growth.
Once dampened with rain, all the trapped dust and dirt will turn to mud and sooner or later, you may just find several plants living in your gutters. This is one major reason why people can get clogging in their gutters and even the downpipes.
Our Expert To The Rescue
We received a call for help from a customer in need of urgent gutter cleaning in Point Cook. She told us that her downpipes must be clogged so she needed an expert to have a look. Matt, one of our gutter cleaning experts in Point Cook, visited the customer’s home and helped out. Upon his inspection, Matt saw a bunch of icky things in the gutters. A huge amount of dust had accumulated in the gutters and turned to mud. The customer said it was two years since she last had her gutters cleaned and she didn’t realize there was a lot of moss stuck up there.
Matt cleaned the gutters and explained to the customer why regular gutter maintenance is necessary to prevent things like this from happening again in the future. The customer couldn’t agree more and requested Matt to do annual gutter cleaning for her.
